Today would be Jim Morrison’s birthday. The Doors got inspiration their name from a book called “The Doors of Perception” by Aldous Huxley. They started out in 65 in Los Angeles. Jim Morrison was only 27 when he died in 1971. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 93. Keyboardist Ray Manzarek was 74 when he died in 2013. Today’s Live at Five is The Doors song Break on Through recorded live at the Isle of Wright Festival in 1970.
