Eric Clapton is the only 3 time inductee in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He’s won 18 Grammy Awards and the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. He was a member of The Yardbirds, The Bluesbreakers with John Mayall, Cream, Blind Faith and Derek and The Dominos. At one time, Clapton’s solo band included several Tulsa Musicians including Carl Radle on Bass, Dick Sims on Keyboards and Jamie Oldaker on Drums. Tulsa’s JJ Cale wrote many of Clapton’s hits like Cocaine and After Midnight. This live version of Layla is from Clapton’s 2004 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas, Texas.
