Turkey Mountain Cleanup Day

BUD LIGHT TEAMS WITH KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL
TO "DO GOOD. HAVE FUN." IN TULSA THIS SUMMER

Cleanup Event is Part of Bud Light Volunteering Series in more than 50 Other
Communities across the Country

Bud Light, America's leading beer brand, and Keep America Beautiful have partnered with The M.E.T. to launch the "Turkey Mountain Do Good. Have Fun." cleanup project. Summer means fun and volunteering offers the chance to build great memories. "Do Good. Have Fun." is a program that will engage consumers coast-to-coast in community refreshment projects all summer. That's why Bud Light is encouraging adults in the Tulsa-area to do some good while having some fun on July 12, 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at 6800 S. Elwood Ave. Registration can be found HERE.

Turkey Mountain is a 300-acre wilderness area with beautiful views of Downtown Tulsa and the Arkansas River. The park is a favorite destination for mountain-bikers, runners and equestrians, drawing visitors into Tulsa.

“Turkey Mountain is a jewel of River Parks, and it’s wonderful to have all these dedicated volunteers working to keep it that way,” said Matt Meyer, executive director, River Parks Authority.

“The M.e.t. loves to partner with organizations that are committed to doing good in the community,” said Michael Patton, executive director, Metropolitan Environmental Trust. “Keeping treasures like Turkey Mountain pristine ensures that Tulsans continue to have fun.”

Tapping the Keep America Beautiful network, Bud Light will bring people together all summer long for various hands-on projects at more than 50 Bud Light "Do Good. Have Fun." events across the country, including the upcoming project in Tulsa.

"We know that Bud Light drinkers are always up for whatever, so we are excited to create fun times that benefit our communities," said Rob McCarthy, vice president, Bud Light. "Through Keep America Beautiful and its nationwide network of affiliates, our consumers and employees can help make a difference in their communities."

The M.E.T. operates 12 recycling centers throughout the Tulsa area, employing more than 100 people with disabilities. The M.E.T. serves the community at its biannual Fairgrounds Pollutant Collection event, and educating gardening enthusiasts and homeowners through Compost Everything.

Keep America Beautiful is the nation’s leading nonprofit that brings people together to build and sustain vibrant communities. KAB works with millions of volunteers who take action in their communities to transform public spaces into beautiful places.
