Billy Joel: 40th Anniversary Re-Issues

Billy Joel is celebrating his 40th anniversary as a recording artist with a pair of classic re-issues -- an expanded Legacy Edition of his self-titled debut album and a 15-disc Complete Albums Collection. Both will be available on October 8th.

The Legacy Edition of Billy Joel packs both a re-mastered copy of the original 10-song release and his famed 1972 performance at Philadelphia's Sigma Sound Studios. That so-called "underground" recording made his "Captain Jack" a hit in the Philadelphia area and brought him to the attention of Columbia Records, which signed him shortly afterward.
The Complete Albums Collection features all 14 of his original albums, plus a bonus disc of rarities, outtakes and live cuts never included on his LPs or CDs.
